having lost my points twice and not able to use my original id to get points I really find the points thing a bit "pointless" however I enjoy Hobby Farms - both the board and the mag -and will continue to play along :)maybe one day I will not forget to log out and in again (when I visit the board it doesn't seem register) for more than 30 days :) Last time I lost the points I was without a computer so really had no choice

It's basically 30 days from your last login date.
One user told me that she makes a point to log in every Sunday evening before she goes to bed so she can send an e-card out and say hi to some friends.
Another user logs in everyday.
It's really up to you how often you want to log in to your account, just keep in mind that if you don't log in within the next 30 days your points will expire.
And be sure to remember that you have to log in to your Hobby Farms Rewards "My Farm" account. It's not the same thing as your Forum account.
And in the chance that you're unable to log in to your computer because something happened. Like you're on vacation or your computer broke you can use the contact us page to notify us. We usually will do a one-time only reinstatement of your points.

| That's nice to do a one time reinstall of points- except by the time I could get to a computer I felt like an idiot asking for any help (I think it was about day 32) it's too bad logging in here doesn't count - but as I say I enjoy the site very much so please don't take my comments as criticism :)

No worries Conrad.
We actually do like hearing from our visitors. Sometimes we can incorporate some of the requests in. And sometimes it helps give us a new goal to work toward.

| Thanks I tried to send you comments through the comments page (tgo beg nicely for my points back) and commented on an article I had actually used too - in both cases the program to make sure I wasn't spam couldn't recognize that I was entering the correct code - for the nice request for my early points back I tried about a bazillion times ... so something in that comment form may not like dial up? more bad news from a happy reader

I signed up for Hobby Farms Rewards simply because I enjoy the site so much and because "it was there". Let's face it, to reach the level to receive anything of real value is unlikely. There's too little acitivity that I can see. But it adds a little level of fun. I'm like Conrad and I love the site and the communitcation. The "rewards" are peripheral.
The best part is the insight of some very real farmers who are living the dream day to day. That's invaluable.
I love the Hobby Farms magazine and read it regularly - even though I may never get around to creating my own farm. It's a long story.
Hey - Sign up! You've got nothing to lose and if you visit (and sign in regularly for a million times) you might be able to get a book about donkeys!
