Karen Hood is a really neat person from my sheep list who worked very hard (though sadly enough, not 100% successfully) to find homes for her neighbor's tame sheep so he wouldn't send them to slaughter. Now after giving a lamb (Marshmallow) to Karen's daughter, he plans to ship Marshmallow too!

If you have a good, pet home or know of one, please email Karen at: hobomom@yahoo.com

~ (below) message from Karen to my HFSheep email group ~

Hey everyone!

I need to find a home for a very tame, year old Suffolk ewe.  She is really sweet & tame and too nice to go to butcher.  To make a long story short, she was given to my daughter by the neighbor but since we are renters & the property is not fenced she has to stay in his yard.  Well, he is tired of her being there & he is going to send her to butcher if I can't get her out of his yard.  The rental company says NO to livestock & now I need to get her a place.

So if anyone in CA wants a really nice sheep email me (hobomom@yahoo.com).  I'm in Atascadero (between San Luis Obispo & Paso Robles).

I also want to add that if you make a "click, click, click" sound (like when calling a horse) she will come running from where ever she is when she hears it & if you put your hand over, say a platform & snap your fingers or even say "come on", she will hop up on it.  I can also tap on the top rail of the fence & she will put her front legs up on the bottom rung to stand up (then I can pick the stickers out of her belly) :-)

She is just so tame that I'm really trying to find her a home!  I've checked with local rescues & they are full.  Even the one in Nor Cal is full per their site.  So any leads on getting her a good home is really appreciated.

Thanks!!!
Karen Hood

New here!
] Hi there!
I wish I could say~"put a stamp on her nose and send the cutie my way!"
No farm now, but I spent many wonderful summers on my Grandfather's.
I could give up city life very easy to live back on a farm again!
Easier said than done....sigh....
May your little fuzzy lovey find her forever home soon!
Carol =^.^=
