hmm thats what I was afraid of

it doesn't seem to bother him - vet thinks it is most likely an old inactive badly healed abscess ... she doesn't really want to poke it unless it grows or is sore - and I can't blame her ...

fingers crossed it's nothing

Half Caper Farm (2/7/2009)
I don't have them (I have Harlequins and Lionheads) but a good friend of mine used to. His comment was "they're not a hobby, they're a lifestyle!" Lot of grooming to those little fluffballs.

Back when I was breeding rabbits (years ago...I was probably 13! It's crazy how time flies) I had a Harlequin doe. She was SO pretty and sweet. My other rabbits were mostly mixes, with one Dutch, one Mini-Rex, and a few Holland Lops. I had the worst luck with them, though. I don't know what I was doing wrong, but perfectly healthy looking rabbits would randomly die without any known cause.

We love our angora bunnies! our family has been raising and showing them for way over 3 decades now!  if you are into handspinning, knitting, any kind of fiber crafts this is a great "excuse" to get a lovable, sweet german or giant angora bunny!  we have many articles on the care and keeping of angora rabbits posted free on our website.  we are in southern vermont & offer how to groom/ harvest wool lessons and demos to individuals and guilds, 4h etc...we have even done presentaions at living history museums, libraries and schools... if you are interested visit our site.  Enjoy!

i have satin angora rabbits and plan on breeding this spring. if you don't mind the extra work involved with harversting the fiber angoras are the best. i have owned rabbits my whole life and angoras are by far my favorite breed. they have the sweetest temperment.
