If you don't want black looking soap, allow the hot soap to cool till it's starting to get thick and then add your green tea, fold it into the cooling soap and pour into the molds.

Don't dust your molds with your herbs.

Dried ground ginger is the most volital herb we used.

Not all essitanial oils are made for soap or equal. Need to know how many pressing it was.

Smell under the lid where the plastic is to get a true smell of the scent that you using.

Be in the mood to make it or you will through the batch away.

Take notes on the weather, it does make a difference.

What method are you using? I make hot process and cold process soaps but I haven't ever used green tea.
