i found a website called deltacanopy.com that sells greenhouses that are farily cheap, i was curious if anyone else has used or bought any greenhouses from them, and could give me some feedback on how good they are..

also if anyone knows of a better quality greenhouse thats under $1000 that is about 10x20 or so please let me know, i need a big one because im going to be growing herbs for my wife year round in it plus an aquapoincs set up for other things.

Thanks.

Hi!  I am not sure if you found a green house yet but if you are interested in building your own, take a look at http://ana-white.com/2012/05/plans/barn-greenhouse She built a nice green house and I plan to build it as well.

I built my own for under $300 using pvc pipe and 6 mil plastic. I looked on youtube.com for examples, then put mine together in a weekend. Mine is 12'x16', and about 9' tall in the center. I used 3/4" pvc pipe and fitting, 6 mil construction plastic sheeting, and standard 1/2" OSB board for the ends. I had assorted scrap lumber laying around and used it to build a 2' stub wall, then built the pvc frame on top of that. By doing this, I gained more head room for handing plants. Check out my pics on my "DAM farm" profile. Hope this is helpful!

Howdy,

Don't know if a hoop house is what you had in mind, but here a lik to build one for roughly a $100. The video is in three parts, but this should get you started. To get the 10 x 20 you need, just double the length of the one in the video. That's what I intend to do.

Hope this helps,

Dan
