We love unique names, here are the names of our other horses

Odysseus

Quartermaine

D'Artagnan

Lynwy

Seattle

Galahad

The new horse is a mare, she's black...and we don't like common names!

Please give name, meaning AND HOW TO SAY THE NAME IF IT's UNIQUE (like alot of arabic names are hard to pronounce)!!! We love, fictional names, (if you couldn't tell)........ I've tried google, but it's the same names over, and over, and over!

Thanks for your help

How about "Calypso" after the goddess in "Pirates of the Caribbean"?

Let me also add, our dog names, just to help show you what we like, we have Zorro, Mushu, Smudge, Tito (from Oliver in company, his real name is really long) Izobell, Chance, Buddy (ok, not original, but we never thought we were going to keep him)..

Then we have our cats (not so original) Prince, Princess, Slinky, Mittens, Snowball, Sassy, Gonzo.

Our goats, Dorothy, Sophie, Fubar, and Snafu.

Chickens, (most don't have names, but here are some) Hen Wen, Chuckabow, Mimic, Hatchly, Afro Man, Lional (he use to be Lynett, but, she was a he so we changed it) Ugly Duckly (this is, what we think, is a bantam rhodeisland red rooster, but when it was a chick, it was ugly...now he's beautiful) Ginger Bread Man. Mama Hen.

So here we are looking for another name for another beautiful horse.

Erythrian Butterfly (Eryth for short)  I wanted to name my foal that if it was a girl, but I had a colt and left it at that.  Erythrian means reddish which may work as most black horses have a reddish tinge in the sun.  Good Luck.

p.p.
