7 Soay sheep (4 ewes, 2 rams and 1 "meatlocker" ramlet)

Shadowthorn, you have Soays!?! I want some of those.

I just did a nosecount on the goats so here goes:

Five horses, plus four "boarders" (I have a sneaking suspicion that I "own" these as the owner hasn't shown up or paid me anything in over a month )

Twenty-nine goats: 7 Nigerian Dwarfs, 1 Saanen/Nigerian and her 3/4 Nigie son, 3 Saanens, 3 fullblooded Boers, 5 BoerX, 2 Alpines, 1 Toggenburg and assorted crossbreds.

Bunch of chickens - 40? or so

Five geese - a trio of Toulouse, and two white Chinese females.

Nine Muscovies

Six barncats.

Rabbits - subject to change without notice! About 39 at the moment.

Three housecats, two housedogs (one heavily pregnant) and one outdoor dog.

There, I think that's everybody.

Well this is a first for me, post that is and this looked like an interesting place to start.

As to animals I will start with the easy ones inside the house,

2 Siamese rescue cats, Bojangles and Jasmine

Now the fun part:

1 Belgin mare retired Nellie

1 retired mule, Jackson

2 Morgan horses Belle and Billy (mother and son)

2 Oxen Chip and Dale (yes I know what woman wouldn;t love to have her own chipndale and not the furniture!)

6 American Milking Devons 1 bull

50 Angus cows 3 Bulls

60 Hog Island sheep... please ask me about them they are truely unique and less than 200 breeding females in the world!

3 Tamworth pigs (2 sows 1 boar)

15 soon to be 2 piglets

2 commercial sows

22 laying hens if the fox hasn't come and collected his meal yet today.

100 barred rocks being raised for layers and meat birds,

6 Muscovy ducks unless the fox decided he wanted a change from chicken dinners.

and plently of wildlife, saw a bald eagle flying over the farm last weekend, ah yes and all the residents of the pond.

I'm not sure but I think that's it, not sure how to post a picture otherwise I'd post the sheep, they really are my babies and so important to us!

Heh, I used to think I had a lot of animals before reading this thread! Well, here's what resides in "Wonderland", as I have aptly named it =) (Unfortunately no Cheshire cats or talking mice )

2 horses- 1 bay Quarter Horse gelding and one bay tobiano Tennessee Walking Horse mare.
2 goats- Nigerian Dwarfs does, the start of what I hope will be a fully functional herd.
6 dogs- three lab mixes and three Pomeranians.
4 cats- One honorary barn mouser and 3 for company.
1 rabbit- Seven was quite an unexpected addition; I "rescued" him from someone who was going to feed him to a snake. (I have nothing against snakes, but I love bunnies!)
2 rats- the dogs of the rodent world, imo. =]
4 fish- betas.

We're also planning on getting chickens this Spring. It will definitely be a heritage breed. Hobby Farm has peaked my interest in all things heritage and heirloom. I want to help conserve them now! They're all amazing.

Hello!

At present I have:

7 Soay sheep (4 ewes, 2 rams and 1 "meatlocker" ramlet)

1 Icelandic/Friesian ewe

1 Clun Forest ewe

2 Goat does (1 two year old Nubian and 1 bottle baby Oberhasli)

5 rabbits (mix n match... my New Zeland buck ((still looking for a mate for him)) a couple mini rex does, a wether GOK ((God Only Knows)), and a very grumpy ancient Netherland dwarf doe). I seem to have become the dumping ground for ex pet bunnies. I *was* going to raise New Zelands... but my Beautiful Black doe fell ill and didn't make it. :( Now I've got 3 does that are WAY too small for dear Herman... and an IT. *sigh*

2 India Blue Peafowl (a mated pair)

14 chickens (3 Easter Eggers ((one's a roo)), 1 Black Sexlink, 2 Gold Sexlink, 1 buff Cukou Maran, 2 blue Wyandottes, 2 Barred Rock, 2 Welsummers ((one's a roo)) and 1 strange "rare breed" that McMurray hatchery sent my friend with his 25 fryers that he was happy to give to me and we can't figure out what the devil is... or if it's even a roo or a hen!)

1 Border Collie that tries to keep it all together and...

1 fluffkin kitty that keeps the armys of mice at bay and out of my house.

This could almost be sung to the 12 Days of Christmas...our neighbors have warned us that if we even begin to build anything resembling a boat - they are going to look for a rainbow in the sky...here goes:

30 Icelandic sheep (before lambing)

27 Heritage breed chickens

8 barn cats

6 Indian Runner Ducks

4 guardian llamas

4 rescued horses

4 farm dogs

3 Roman Tufted Geese

2 hives of bees

2 dairy goats

2 miniature horses

and a Bourbon Red Tur-ur-ur-key!

Well . . . we have:

3 horses (one golden oldie, her daughter and a gelding)

3 mules (two full sisters and one grey ghost)

4 Nigerian Dwarf Goats (2 wethers & 2 does)

1 Alpine x Nigerian Goat (wether)

21 chickens - hens - various varieties (25 chicks coming in Feb )

3 dogs

3 cats

33 Netheland Dwarf rabbits

2 Mini Lops

2 Holland Lops

3 Guinea Pigs

We love them all!

Oh my where do I begin...With all the animals we have I don't know really where to start.......Lets see.....

4 Pot belly pigs (Moo, Ferrgie, Tootsie Roll, Pearlly Puff)

1 feeder pig (Princess Sophie)

1 horse (Speckles)

36 rabbits (all different breeds all have names, but to many to list)

40+ chickens (all different breeds and all have names, but to many to list)

6 geese (Geesey-Geesey*male, Goosey-Goosey, Angel, Eve*all females--Touleouse Geese, Juno*female, Bleeker*male Sebestable Geese)

1 Guinnea Hen (Oliver--yes it's a female)

2 Muscovy Ducks(Lilly Beans & Lolly Pop--both females)

We have about 100 SEAMONKEYS!!!

10 or so gold fish (depends on if the turtles get them or not...)

We don't have near as many animals since we moved to our new place. We are currently building a new barn (hubby wants to know why we are building more stalls then we have animals?) Right now we have two horses (one quarter, one pony -I bought him because I give lessons to the under privileged kids), one pygmy goat (a rescue and "guard dog"), two yellow labs (dockdog and duck hunter) and two Jack Russell Terriers (take the place of cats for rodent control). Once the barn and fencing are complete I am looking at either more goats or alpacas. I grew up on a dairy goat farm, with too many cows, pigs, chickens, horses, rabbits, and dogs to count so our current "herd" is very simple to us.

Hi all. Im kinda new to the board here so this looked like a good place to get started. I have 2 cats(wife's actually) 6 dogs, 33 chickens, and added 3 baby pigs this weekend. We are thinking of adding a few goats in the spring and some turkeys.

Well let's see .... we have 6 cats ( several in barn ) 2 Rat Terriers and one Great Pyrenees ( livestock guardian ) 9 goats ( 7 Nigerian Dwarfs , one Lamancha and one Nubian ) the Nubian was our bottel baby this yr. Then also 7 sheep - 2 Romneys, 1 Coopworth and 4 Shetlands . Chickens, ducks, geese ,2 noisy guineas and one potbelly pig .

Hi guys!

I'm mainly a poultry farmer but here we go... I've got a pair of Guinea's (Buck and Penny) they had quite a few babies this year but they are all sold to a friend of the family, apir of Silver Sebright Bantams (Bart and Betty), 14 Chinese Ringneck Pheasants ( 6 roosters, 8 hens, no names yet!), a pair of Red Golden Pheasants (newly bought and can't think of names yet... Any suggestions?), and a few beef cattle.

We have six big horses (three remaining elderly rescues and three homebreds who are now 5 and 8 years of age), three miniature horses (actually, one of those was a rescue too), a donkey, two llamas, a Holstein-Jersey calf who will be an ox one day, two water buffalo calves, 17 goats (Nubians, Boers, a Sable, and a number of cool grades and mixes), 13 sheep (11 Miniature Cheviots plus Dodger and Angel, the retired actor sheep), and two aging bachelor guineas. Plus our LGD, Feyza, and six other dogs ranging from a geriatric giant Airedale to a pair of Beagles, all but two of which are former strays.

Oh! I should add that the lamb I'm holding in the picture to the left is Wolf Moon Baamadeus, one of our future rams. We have three: Wolf Moon Rumbler (Baama's daddy) and Wolf Moon Finn Bheara (a.k.a. Maxx, a rare paint Miniature Cheviot also born this year) are the other two.

I have 2 goats, 16 chickens, 9 turkeys and 5 dogs! Chickens are layers, goats are for weed control , turkeys will soon be in the freezer and the dogs are my 4 legged kids. Dogs are Jack Russell Terriers (3) and Smooth Fox Terriers (2). I know, crazy terrier lady

I'll just add my website address at the bottom so it doesn't take up so much space here, I have Missouri Foxtrotter mares that we breed to our Mammoth Jack Donkey and have a couple gaited type mule foals a year. I also have a darling appaloosa pony mare and stallion (a rare amber champagne appaloosa colored pony stallion that is registered with the International Champagne Horse registry) and they give us the most gorgeous pony foals that sell quickly for driving ponies usually, plus one of my MFT mares is small so I raised my first registered MFT pony last year and will show her next summer. I also have an Arabian mare that wasn't quite a rescue but she was in serious need of a new home and she was in foal to a Friesian stallion when I bought her. We also have 6 llamas, about 2 dozen guineas that are freeranging, a couple dozen mixed laying hens and a trio of heritage Turkeys (Black Spanish).
