It's crazy how time flies) I had a Harlequin doe. She was SO pretty and sweet. My other rabbits were mostly mixes, with one Dutch, one Mini-Rex, and a few Holland Lops. I had the worst luck with them, though. I don't know what I was doing wrong, but perfectly healthy looking rabbits would randomly die without any known cause.

RE: Anybody here breed or keep angora rabbits?

hmm thats what I was afraid of

it doesn't seem to bother him - vet thinks it is most likely an old inactive badly healed abscess ... she doesn't really want to poke it unless it grows or is sore - and I can't blame her ...

fingers crossed it's nothing

RE: Anybody here breed or keep angora rabbits?

probably not a scent gland, if you can feel it... probably a jaw abscess.

They are common in some breeds...
