As an engineering student (not mechanical though), my response is to try it and find out. In saying that, you must take caution not to hurt yourself, your atv, or your mower. I have never been around horse drawn equipment, but if you travel at speeds relative to that of a horse walking and the mower is capable of operating correctly I see no problem with it.

making hay

does anyone know if a horse drawn sickle bar mower can be pulled behind an ATV?
