Keeping fingers crossed here.

We took seeds from the plants that P2 grew in his garden after his corn and dried them. We're making seed packs from P2 garden for family and friends. Lets hope I read how to dry them right......

Jams and jellies make it into most gift baskets, especially the more unique ones like garlic jelly and hot pepper jam...if we have any left from our farm stand at the end of the season. I also make personalized painted stall plaques for friends and family who own horses. They always seem to be adding one more equine and needing another name plate.

Hey Drawbar...who was the lucky person (child) that got that? Do you go off plans or is it some thing that just works itself out as you work the wood?

That would be put up in the china cabinet with a good coating of linseed oil at our house. But I know P2 would have it out on the floor with his 1/16 scale farm.

well I don't think of it as "from the farm" but since Draw spoke of the stuff he does, I have been known to do mini walling. that is...stone walls made of 2B stone. now if i'm sending them to someone they are glued, but many times I do them only to take them down later.

This year it will be goat's milk soap and hand cream made using beeswax from my neighbour's hive.

I usually take eggs and goat cheese as gifts when we go somewhere.

I do a lot of stuff in my woodworking shop, but because I get so much enjoyment out of building stuff, that I just don't feel right in charging someone.

I build a lot of wooden models, and over the years have given a lot away. In a few weeks I am giving a model of an old bulldozer to a member of the Soil and Water Conservation district. He is a nice guy that does a lot of volunteer work, and loves history and equipment. The Caterpillar 60 from the 1930's is perfect for him.

I should do more simple woodworking stuff like cutting boards, toys and ornaments, but I like detailed woodworking so my projects take months to complete. I just don't have time to make many Christmas presents.

Here is a picture of that bulldozer I am giving away. It will actually be inside a glass case that I built to keep the dust off it.

well it's not limited to the holiday...food. you leave hear full and your trunk is fill of chow as well.

I used to paint often but those days are over. now it's about kids and I don't have much time for art.

I wish I was more creative.

We give smoked pheasant, smoked apple sauce, canned peaches etc, and deer bologna/jerky.

Last year I got a bit more creative and made fleece 'reading shawls' for all the women in our families (a wide scarf that covers the shoulders like a shawl, and has pockets for a book and glasses.

I've tried baking, my I'm just not good enough at it - time it's packed and shipped, I might as well have sent cardboard.

Can't wait to hear what others do! Maybe I'll steal ideas
