| I have a k-5 military blazer that i use as a farm truck. Does anyone know if an ATV rough cut mower can be towed (with the right hitch)? And can the mower be towed off-set with the full size blazer? I live in WV and I have extremely steep hills that tractors cannot climb safely, but my blazer idles right up and over, with no problem. It seems to make sense to use the blazer. I do not own a tractor nor a quad... Thanks!

I dont see why not. If you keep it slow enough with a low air pressure in your Trucks tires to not rut the field too bad.
For the hitch I believe that they are just a hole in a plate that a hitch pin goes throug a class 2 or 3 hitch with the ball removed should be able to accomidate if the reciever hitch is too large a diamater use some large fender washers to keep your pin from falling through.
If the offset isnt wide enough you could always have a T welded up to either bolt to the bumper hitch points or to fit into the cat 2 or 3 reciever box. and just have them weld a plate to hitch the mower at the end of the t's You may be able to string 2 or 3 side by side if you want.
I was thinking about a simalar set up as we cannot afford a tractor just yet.

| I tow a mower with a quad to mow 3 acres. I think you'll find that you can tow the unit fine, but backing will be a problem with such a large tow vehicle. Also, since you're using it on hills, the drop tongue of the unit will probably be spread & bent. My mower did this behind my atv. I solved the probem by cutting off the pin tongue & bolting on a regular 2" ball tongue. Now it works great on my hills & I've had no problems since. My unit will offset far enough to use behind a blazer. Good luck.

Go for it! The extra load may require chains on tires and big mirrors may be required for visability, use the proper hitch adapter to prevent injury or equipment damage. Enjoy!

| I pull a 12' disc with a 92 Toyota 4x4 in low range, I use the tach/rpm to judge speed. Like you I don't own a tractor yet so I'm using what I have, I was thinking of using an old snowplow hydraulic pump to make a makeshift 3pt I just need to figure out how to remove the driveshaft and make it into a PTO. Take care of that Blazer I purchased a m1009 Blazer and I love the truck.
